koru # 150

To be honest, I'm not sure there is any way for me to explain this piece except to say that it is part of an installation and performance piece called The Due Return now showing at Santa Fe's Center for Contemporary Arts through July 11, 2011. Really interesting stuff, and definitely an experience. If you're local, check it out.

koru #149

Wild bird seed. This took longer than just about every other koru I've done to date and required tweezers and lots or sorting.

koru #148

Tin can luminary. Note to self: next time make sure the water in the can is actually frozen through before hammering. Look for another attempt once the other can finishes freezing.

koru #147

.22 caliber shell casings in Trader Joe's Smoked Trout tin. Unfortunately, I ran out before I finished. May consider retrying in a smaller tin.

Homemade, gluten-free pizza with black olives.

Unfortunately the olives spread as the cheese melted, but they still tasted good.

(And yes, this was breakfast.)

Koru carved in dirt with pointed stick.

koru #131

Was having some technical difficulties posting last night so here is yesterday's koru a little late. ChlorOxygen spiral at the bottom of a hand-blown glass.
